Tradespeople to hop on buses with new easy-to-transport KwikPro power tools, crowdfunding soon

Updated: Nov 17, 2021

KwikPro is the first 18 volt system to offer: a full range of professional-grade power tools that can be carried easily in one case. With less weight and bulk KwikPro is easier to shift on buses and trains and faster working with everything easily to hand in one case or bag.

Pioneering engineer and founder of Power Tool Systems, Robert Fowler, plans to launch the new KwikPro range of easy-to-transport 18 volt power tool sets for crowdfunding late November 2021 on Kickstarter.com. The all-in-one-case professional-grade power tool systems use exclusive Slide-on-DriveTM technology to save space and weight. The KwikPro system will include: cordless motor handles and a full range of tool attachments, a dedicated tool belt for safe hands-free carrying. The exclusive KwikPro Pro+ motor handle also offers remote control, a further unique innovation for controlling more that one KwikPro motor handle at the same time, as used to great effect with the KwikPro KwikMachine system.

Currently, trade-professionals have to carry multiple regular power tools in separate cases to and from job-sites. “Shifting loads of power tools on public transport is difficult, wastes time and energy and can increase the danger of accidents and injuries. KwikPro will make life easier for anyone who needs to transport power tools to and from jobs by bus, train, taxi, van or truck,” said Fowler. "And when power tool users get to their jobs they’ll be able to work faster with everything easily to hand in one case or bag."

Fowler has worked many thousands of hours pioneering KwikPro. Fowler’s background includes working on a diverse range of projects including developing his own design electric car, having spotted the need for EVs many years before governments and car manufacturers; converting conventional cars to EVs; engineering parts for EVs; consulting on “everything EV”; and engineering hovercraft.

KwikPro systems feature high-performance 18-volt brushless motor handles powered by lithium batteries and a selection of interchangeable tool attachments. The motor handles, tool attachments and batteries slide together to create a full range of both professional and DIY grade power tools, including: rotary and impact drills, impact screwdrivers and wrenches, an angle grinder, jig and reciprocating saws and an oscillating multi tool.

Three versions of the KwikPro handle will be offered: KwikPro Lite for occasional and light DIY duties, Pro for continuous and professional duties and Pro+, the Pro with remote control.
